Waste water treatment
in die casting
In die casting, the use of release agents and closed cooling circuits produces waste water that is contaminated with glycols, oils and metal residues. Many foundries therefore treat their waste water with chemical-physical processes or dispose of it - with correspondingly high costs for operation, disposal and fresh water. With modern treatment, however, the process water can be cleaned efficiently and reused to a large extent.
With these processes
our customers take a close look:
- Preparation and treatment of casting molds with glycol-containing release agents
- Cleaning molds, tools and casting machines after the molding process
- Operation and rinsing of cooling circuits with demineralized water
- Post-processing of cast parts, e.g. deburring, grinding and cleaning
This results in these typical wastewater streams:
- Washing water containing release agents (mostly glycol)
- Cleaning solutions from machine and tool cleaning
- Rinsing water from cooling circuits
- Grinding and washing water from parts processing
Maximum safety in waste water treatment
and reusable distillate.
This is how we plan your treatment system:
This is how wastewater from the die casting production cycle becomes a resource again: with our solution principle, we reliably treat your streams, reduce the disposal volume to a minimum and ensure that the distillate meets all legal requirements.
Starting point: Your wastewater
First, we analyze the composition of your wastewater streams. To do this, we draw on your information and our extensive experience from the systems we have implemented. Depending on the complexity and requirements, we take samples and analyze them in our in-house laboratory. If no wastewater is available yet, we draw on our database with thousands of analyzed waters depending on the production processes and industries.
Definition of process chains
We then define the process chain from the dirty water inflow to the finished distillate and concentrate. The KMU LOFT Cleanwater systems can also be easily integrated into existing plants to increase efficiency. The aim is an efficient and safe process. The distillate should be able to be reused or discharged. The concentrate should contain as little residual water as possible in order to minimize the disposal volume.
Implementation in plants and systems
Once the process chain has been established, implementation begins by selecting the right vacuum evaporator and the best systems for pre- and post-processing as well as intermediate storage. The result is an individual offer based on standardized system elements.
KMU LOFT Cleanwater complete solution with vacuum evaporator
Treat wastewater safely,
Reduce costs and effort
With our treatment systems, which use vacuum distillation as their core technology, you can reliably treat waste water from release agent rinsing, cooling circuits and post-processing. The distillate can be reused in numerous processes in your die casting line, while concentrates are reduced to a minimum. For you, this means: lower disposal costs, less water consumption and an economical, future-proof solution - efficient, low-energy and space-saving integration into your production.
Further advantages at a glance:
Highest process stability
Robust plant components ensure consistent distillate quality even with fluctuating wastewater composition and maximum pollutant concentration.
Reusable distillate
Recovery of up to 99% of the wastewater introduced, reusable in many processes of the die casting line.
Affordable disposal
The amount of waste disposed of is reduced many times over compared to other wastewater treatment processes.
Low energy costs
Reduction of energy and operating costs through efficient heat utilization and a high degree of automation.
High system availability
Only about 15-30 minutes of operation and maintenance per day, with the option of remote maintenance and optimization.
Occupational safety
Reliable wastewater treatment and occupational safety regardless of the chemical knowledge of the plant operators.
Our answer to (almost) any waste water: the vacuum evaporator
They work almost by themselves, require little space and recover pure distillate even from heavily contaminated wastewater. Our vacuum evaporators with natural or forced circulation have been reliably and safely processing all types of wastewater for decades. MVR evaporation has been proven to be the "best available technology" for numerous industrial applications.
Service for a long system life
Our vacuum evaporators run reliably and trouble-free for years. Many customers only get in touch when something needs to be replaced. However, it pays to look earlier: A regular check of the system parameters in conjunction with the current wastewater flows helps to significantly extend the service life of your system. We can also detect numerous faults and make adjustments via remote maintenance without restricting system availability.
